Budanov: The quality of Russian ammunition has fallen, despite the increase in production

In an interview with Le Monde, head of the GUR Kyrylo Budanov said that since the end of summer 2023, there has been an increase in the number of ammunition produced by Russia, but their quality has fallen.

"Compared to previous years, since the end of summer 2023, we have seen an increase in the number of ammunition produced by Russia. We are not talking about shells purchased abroad, but rather those produced by their industry. At the same time, we note a decline in their quality," he said.

According to him, the reason for the Russian missile strikes in late 2023 and early 2024 is "very banal."

"They wanted to declare the past year a victorious one as soon as possible and move on to the next," the Ukrainian intelligence chief said.

Budanov added that the Russians had no real military successes.

He also emphasized that Russian missiles have a number of drawbacks - they often miss.

"We immediately sent them our response. The target was their military facilities," Budanov said.
