Kolomoisky's arrest extended until January 26

On Tuesday, November 28, the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv extended the preventive measure for millionaire Ihor Kolomoisky in the form of detention until January 26 inclusive. The decision was announced by Judge Oksana Hardina. The bail amount remains unchanged at UAH 3 billion.

The prosecutor's office asked to extend the businessman's arrest for two months, while the defense insisted on a non-custodial measure of restraint.

Kolomoisky himself said in court that he cooperates with the investigation and that it would be easier to do so outside the pre-trial detention center.

"My stay in custody is harmful and inappropriate. After all, if I am under another preventive measure, cooperation with the investigation will allow us to quickly resolve all these incomprehensible things, misunderstandings and come to the point where there was no event, and the crime did not exist. Therefore, I join my defense lawyers in refusing to extend the defense," Kolomoisky said.

He added that the investigation questioned him only "on the 50th or 52nd day of detention."

As a reminder, oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky has been in custody since September.
