Iran has told the United States through closed channels through the Swiss embassy that it does not want an escalation of Israel's war with Hamas, but it will be inevitable if the IDF continues military action. This was announced by Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Financial Times reports.
"In response to the United States, we said that Iran does not want the war to spread, but because of the approach taken by the United States and Israel in the region, but if the crimes against the people of Gaza and the West Bank are not stopped, any possibility can be considered, and a wider conflict may be inevitable," said Hossein Amirabdollahian.
Iran also announced the possibility of striking at US aircraft carriers in the Middle East.
"Our military officials are of the opinion that the deployment of US aircraft carriers near our region, which makes them accessible, is not a strong point of the United States. Rather, it makes them more vulnerable to possible strikes," Amirabdollahian said.
