After the meeting, Biden again called the Chinese leader a dictator (UPDATED)

A few hours after his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, US President Joe Biden again called him a dictator, CNN reports.

During a press conference following the talks between the American and Chinese leaders in San Francisco, Biden, answering a journalist's question about whether he would continue to describe Xi Jinping as a dictator, said: "He's a dictator in the sense that he runs a communist country. The Chinese government is completely different from ours."

It is worth noting that in June of this year, the US president called the head of the People's Republic of China a dictator because of the situation with the spy balloon. At the time, China protested and called Biden's words a "provocation."

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized US President Joe Biden, who called Chinese President Xi Jinping a "communist dictator."

According to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning, Biden's statement is "extremely false and irresponsible."

"China strongly opposes such political manipulations," Mao said.

She noted that "there will always be people with ulterior motives who try to provoke and undermine China-US relations."

"Such attempts will not succeed," the diplomat said.
