Ukraine may start negotiations on joining the EU already this year, if there are no force majeure events, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said during a telethon. According to him, in the coming days we will see events and news that will have a positive effect.
"The Ukrainian authorities have been working to fulfill everything that is required on our part. The President controlled this process. If there are no force majeure events, Ukraine will open negotiations on EU membership by the end of this year," Kuleba said.
According to the foreign minister, Ukraine is now confidently moving toward its goal of joining the European Union. However, Kuleba did not disclose details of preparations for the start of negotiations.
