If the EU stops helping Ukraine, it will capitulate. This was stated by the head of EU diplomacy Josep Borrell at the "Europe and the World" conference.
According to Borrell, Ukrainians cannot defend themselves against Russian aggression and need European assistance. In addition, the European Union does not want to allow Ukraine's capitulation to the regime of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin.
"I know how to end the war quickly. If I stop supporting Ukraine, it will end with the capitulation of Ukrainians. Do we want the war to end this way? I think not. We cannot allow Putin to install a puppet government in Kyiv and have the Russian army on the Polish border," Borrell said.
The head of European diplomacy also added that Putin would "think twice" about invading Ukraine if he knew how the European Union and other allies would support Ukrainians.
