US President Joe Biden spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about the situation in the Middle East. This was reported by the White House.

It is noted that Biden welcomed the arrival of the first humanitarian convoys to Gaza since the Hamas invasion on October 7 and reaffirmed his intention to continue to supply humanitarian aid to the Palestinians.

The American President also expressed gratitude to Israel for its assistance in the release of two US citizens held hostage by Hamas. They discussed ongoing efforts to free all people held by the militants.

It should be noted that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) previously reported more than 200 hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
