US will allocate $200 million in military aid to Ukraine

US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine totaling $200 million. He made the announcement during a meeting of the Ramstein Contact Group in the Belgian capital, Brussels, on October 11.

"I am glad that the United States will announce another $200 million package of defense aid to Ukraine," the Pentagon chief said.

This package also includes 155-mm and 105-mm ammunition, as well as "brand new air defense systems that will be delivered to Ukraine soon."

In addition, Austin added, the US defense package will include missiles, aerial munitions, anti-tank weapons, and "the necessary weapons to combat Russian drones."

"Thus, America's total commitment will be $43 billion since the start of the war," the Pentagon chief said.
