During the visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Bucharest, he held productive talks with his Romanian counterpart Klaus Iohannis and signed a bilateral declaration between the two countries. The document covers political, economic, social and security issues. This was announced by the head of the Ukrainian state on his Telegram channel.
According to Zelensky, the bilateral declaration signed today, October 10, with Romania sets out "key aspects of our cooperation." In particular, it concerns:
- Cooperation in the security sector, in particular in the Black Sea region.
- Support for the Ukrainian Peace Formula.
- Expansion of economic and logistics cooperation, transportation links.
- Simplification of border crossing procedures.
- Opening new border crossing points.
"Today we have held significant and fruitful talks with President of Romania. I will note the agreement on our strategic partnership - Ukraine and Romania. We are ready to build this level of relations," the President of Ukraine said.
