15,000 military and 11,000 civilians are considered missing - the Ministry of Internal Affairs

As of September 2023, 15,000 Ukrainian servicemen and 11,000 civilians are considered missing under special circumstances. This was announced by Leonid Tymchenko, Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a telethon.


"Currently, more than 26,000 people are wanted as missing under special circumstances. Of these, 11,000 are civilians and about 15,000 are military," he said.


Data on each missing person is included in a special register coordinated by the Main Directorate of Intelligence.


According to Tymchenko, almost 9,000 families have received extracts from this register.
