Morawiecki: Warsaw will not allow opening of agricultural markets for Ukrainian grain

Polish Prime Minister Morawiecki has expressed his categorical intention to extend the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products even without the consent of the European Commission, Ukrinform reports.

Morawiecki emphasized that Poland would take action on its own if the European Commission does not impose a ban on imports of four types of grain starting September 15.

"I said it clearly back in July after conversations with four other countries bordering Ukraine: we will not allow a new opening of agricultural markets, regardless of the decision of the European Union. Either the European Commission will fulfill our wish, listen to our voice and introduce a ban on the import of four types of grain into the European Union from September 15, or we will implement this step ourselves," the Prime Minister stressed.

As we reported earlier, President Zelenskyy said that Ukraine was ready to file lawsuits against the EU countries if the ban on imports of Ukrainian agricultural products is extended.
