Oleksandr Syrskyi: The enemy is preparing for revenge in the east

The operational situation on the eastern front remains difficult, said the head of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to him, the enemy is "persistently preparing to take revenge and seize the operational initiative."

In the Kupyansk direction, Russia is completing the preparation of assault units. Fresh units of the newly formed 25th Army are being deployed in the Lyman sector.

Fierce fighting continues in the Bakhmut direction.

Syrskyi said his main task is "to prevent the loss of the occupied borders and positions on the Kupyansk and Lyman directions, as well as to successfully advance and reach certain borders on the Bakhmut direction."
