This morning a battle took place in Crimea, when Ukrainian intelligence units successfully landed on the peninsula as part of a special operation. This information was provided by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andriy Yusov in a commentary for Suspilne.

"As part of the special operation, the personnel landed on the territory of the peninsula. The Main Intelligence Directorate in cooperation with the Navy conducted a special operation," Yusov said.

Yusov noted that Ukrainian forces have not suffered any losses so far, and the operation is ongoing.

"We are not revealing all the details, there are losses among the enemy's personnel, as well as forces and means. Information on the number of losses is being clarified," Yusov added.

It should be noted that local Telegram channels reported explosions that began near the village of Mayak on Cape Tarkhankut at five in the morning.

According to Krym Realii, a battle took place in this area, involving the forces of watercraft and aviation. However, the publication did not provide more detailed information about the events.

Also on the Tarkhankut peninsula are a radar node - the Nebo-M radar and the Kasta-2E2 radar. Positions along the perimeter have also been prepared for air defense.
