NACP: AliExpress on the list of war sponsors

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine has listed the Chinese holding company Alibaba Group, which owns AliExpress, as one of the international sponsors of the war in Ukraine.

The main reason is that the holding continues to operate on the Russian market, including providing a platform for selling goods made from copper seized from the captured Ukrainian plant in Debaltseve.

The NACP notes that in March 2022, the Alibaba Group blocked the profile of a Ukrainian streamer on AliExpress, which had more than 268 thousand subscribers, for his reports about the war. At the same time, pro-Russian posts on the platform are not removed.

"All these facts may indicate that the company supports Russian aggression not only financially by paying taxes, but also ideologically," the bureau said.
