Joe Biden's administration has denied claims about talks about Ukraine's possible membership in NATO under the condition of ceding territory to Russia. White House Strategic Communications Coordinator John Kirby said at a briefing that this information is not true.

In response to a question about possible discussions on the exchange of territories for NATO membership, Kirby clarified that such scenarios are not being considered.

He also emphasized that the United States supports the prospect of Ukraine's membership in NATO, which was confirmed by the alliance leaders at the last summit in Vilnius.

"At the Vilnius summit, the Alliance supported the idea that a path to membership (of Ukraine in NATO) can be developed. At the moment, the focus is on helping Ukraine fight Russian aggression and return the territories that fully belong to Ukraine. They are making progress every day, and we will continue to support them," Kirby said.
