According to the latest report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the Russian army has advanced in the area of Kupyansk.
"Geolocation footage released on August 13 shows that Russian troops have advanced in the area of Orlyanka and Mykolaivka," ISW reports.
For its part, the Russian side reports the capture of several Ukrainian positions and observation posts near Vilshany.
Russian "military commanders" also claim to have captured a section of the frontline from Sinkivka to Petropavlivka, and Russian troops have approached Kupyansk to within 7 kilometers. However, ISW has not found "visual evidence of these claims".
It is worth noting that there are reports of Ukrainian counterattacks in the area.
