Solidarity in the fight against aggression: Azerbaijan expands aid to Ukraine

Ukraine's Vice Minister of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyatyi met with an Azerbaijani delegation, represented by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymur Mardaliyev, to discuss cooperation in humanitarian demining.

Particular emphasis was placed on increasing the amount of aid Azerbaijan intends to provide to Ukraine. Mardaliyev emphasized that in light of the resilience and courage shown by Ukraine in repelling Russian aggression, the aid package will be increased.

The ambassador also noted that Azerbaijan is ready to assist in four key areas of cooperation with Ukraine. These areas include medical and psychological rehabilitation of injured Ukrainian children, rehabilitation of military personnel, support in the energy sector and post-war reconstruction of the country.

"We have chosen the city of Irpin for our cooperation, and we are talking about restoring the city's infrastructure. The project concept involves the restoration of an architectural center, a sports complex, the construction of a new art center for children, and the provision of medical equipment for the hospital," the ambassador noted.

In addition, Azerbaijan is joining the list of countries that provide training for Ukrainian specialists in the field of demining.

The ambassador also announced a new aid package for Ukraine, including a mechanized demining machine.
