 On the morning of Wednesday, June 7, the water level in the South Bug River began to rise sharply. On its shores, more than 100 kilometers from the Kakhovskaya HPP, is the city of Mykolaiv, which is also at risk of flooding.

 As the mayor of Mykolaiv Oleksandr Sienkovych reported, as of 15:00 the water level in the city's water area rose to 77 cm during the day.

 

 "Noticeable rise of water on the beaches of Namiv, Korabelny district, Solyani microdistrict, in the yacht club, in certain areas of Velika Korenikha, Shiroka Balka," he wrote.

 

 According to him, the city services of Mykolaiv are already working in an intensified mode and are conducting an inspection of the most likely areas of flooding.

 

 It is also known that, since yesterday, the city administration has prepared transport and volumes of soil in order to, if necessary, promptly eliminate water breakthroughs on infrastructure facilities and the residential sector.

 

 Sienkovych said that the city is actively preparing for the further rise of water in the coastal areas.

 

 "Noticeable rise of water on the beaches of Namiv, Korabelny district, Solyani microdistrict, in the yacht club, in certain areas of Velika Korenikha, Shiroka Balka," he said.

 

 The first signs of rising water levels were recorded near the Namiv microdistrict. The beach infrastructure on the river bank was mainly affected there: cafes, gazebos, cabins, etc.

 

 However, the water does not stand still and continues to arrive.

 

 According to the locals, the water has already reached their houses and one of the garage cooperatives. Every time its level rises.

Senkevich said that the water in the city at the lowest point of the beach on Namiv is approaching public transport stops. In order for it not to go further to the roadway and to the houses, the shore is strengthened.

 Ivan Kukhta, the head of the Snigurivska MBA, reported that the water level in the Ingulets River rose due to the undermining of the dam.

 

 "The bridge in the village of Elizavetivka has been destroyed. It is completely flooded in the village of Galaganivka," he wrote.

 

 Evacuation of the population began in the community.

 

 "Unfortunately, we have such a situation. We are evacuating residents of 3 houses in the community, 43 gardens are flooded, water is reaching the houses," he added.

 

 He also reported that as of 4:00 p.m., the bridge crossing near the village of Vasylivka, which connected Snigurivka with Vasylivskyi, Pavlivskyi and Tamarinsk Starostyn districts, was completely flooded. Traffic on it is completely stopped.
