The President of Georgia condemned Russia's "terrible attack" on the Kakhovskaya HPP

The President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, blamed Russia for the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP.

"I strongly condemn another serious war crime committed by Russia. The horrific attack on civilian infrastructure - the Novokakhov Dam - once again demonstrates Russia's brutal tactics. Justice must be the answer to these war crimes. All of Georgia is close to Ukraine," she wrote on the social network.

In the Kherson region of Ukraine, the Kakhovskaya HPP was destroyed, tons of water rushed into the Dnipro. Evacuation of the local population has begun from areas where flooding is taking place. The dam cannot be restored, said the Russian authorities that control it.

According to one version, the dam, which is under the control of Russia, was blown up, according to another - the cause of the accident was previous damage. The warring parties blame each other for what happened.
