Dodik went to the Russian Federation - in Brussels, Bosnia was hinted at the consequences of the visit for joining the EU

On Wednesday, May 17, EU Enlargement Commissioner Oliver Vargei warned Bosnia and Herzegovina that EU allies are not visiting Russia, referring to the announced visit to Moscow by the President of the Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik.

This is reported by The Guardian.

"We need Bosnia and Herzegovina to be our ally... Whoever wants to be our ally does not go to Russia," the EU commissioner said at a press conference in Sarajevo, referring to the need for a common front against the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

We will remind that Bosnia and Herzegovina officially applied for EU membership on February 15, 2016, after several years of constitutional reforms and participation in the Dayton Peace Agreement.

Last December, due to fears that the war in Ukraine could destabilize the Balkan region, the country received candidate status.

Earlier, Dodik told the Ambassador of Ukraine to Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vasyl Kyrylych, that he is no longer a welcome person in Republika Srpska.

In addition, we reported that Dodik supported Russia's annexation of Ukrainian territories.
