UOC MP Metropolitan Pavlo remains under house arrest. The court rejected the appeal

Metropolitan Pavlo of the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate was left under 24-hour house arrest. The Court of Appeal of Kyiv rejected the appeal of the lawyers.

 This is reported by hromadske.

The panel of judges considered the appeal of the lawyers of the former governor of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra. The lawyers demanded to cancel the selected preventive measure.

The court rejected the appeal, and Metropolitan Pavel was left under 24-hour house arrest with the wearing of an electronic bracelet until May 30.

According to "Ukrinform", during the court session, the former vicar of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra stated that he was unable to charge the electronic bracelet.

"I live in Voronkiv. So I get a call that my bracelet is running out of power. How can I charge it? There is no light. And you can't talk about communication at all," said Pavlo, Metropolitan of the UOC MP.

It will be recalled that at the beginning of April, the Security Service of Ukraine announced the suspicion of Pavlo, Metropolitan of the UOC MP, in inciting inter-religious enmity (p. 161 of the CCU) and justifying the armed aggression of the Russian Federation (Article 436-2 of the CCU).

On the same day, the court in Kyiv chose the metropolitan as a preventive measure in the form of house arrest.
