The British group JKX Oil & Gas is going to sue Ukraine in connection with the seizure of its corporate rights in the Ukrnaftoburinnia mining company.

This was announced by the company's CEO Andriy Pasishnyk on Facebook.

Pasishnyk stated that JKX Oil & Gas lawyers are preparing lawsuits to protect the violated rights of shareholders - both in Ukrainian and international courts.

At the same time, the website of "Ukrnaftoburinnia" reports that the company appealed the court decision on the seizure of corporate rights.

As of April 19, there were no changes in the company's work.

The company reported that it has more than 160 million cubic meters. m of gas in the underground storage, and about 1.2 billion hryvnias of funds are in the accounts, "most of which will be directed to the fulfillment of current tax obligations and financing of capital investments."

"The shareholders and top managers of UNB do not understand the reasons for such decisions, as well as the reasons for which these decisions were made without the company's participation. The management considers these actions illegal and regards them as an attempt to seize the assets of a private business," the company said.

As a reminder, the company JKX Ukraine B.V. owns 10% of the shares of VK Ukrnaftoburinnia PJSC, which it acquired in 2006.

At the beginning of April, these shares, together with the shares of other shareholders - Deripon Commercial, Ariana Business and Ares Systems - were seized as part of the investigation into the illegal possession of subsoil of the Sakhalin oil and gas condensate field in the Kharkiv region.

All corporate rights were handed over to the National Agency for Detection, Investigation and Management of Corruption Assets.
