One of the world's leading traders, Louis Dreyfus, will stop exporting Russian grain from July 1.

This follows from a letter from the general director of the Company Louis Dreyfus East Paulo Gladchuk to the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Oksana Lut, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation confirmed receipt of the letter and its contents.

"In the conditions of increasing difficulties in the export of grain, we hereby confirm that the LDC group will stop exporting grain from Russia from July 1, 2023," the document says.

The company also announced that it is studying options for transferring the existing Russian business in LDC grain assets to new owners. Louis Dreyfus owns a terminal on the Sea of Azov.

Thus, Louis Dreyfus became the third global company that recently announced a decision to stop grain exports from the Russian Federation from July 1, 2023.

Earlier, two other large grain traders, Cargill and Viterra, made similar statements.
