The Holy Dormition Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra/Men's Monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (UPC MP) filed a lawsuit on March 23 due to the termination of the agreement on the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, referring to the decision of the Commercial Court of Kyiv on March 24.
The published decision states that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Ukraine filed a lawsuit against the National Reserve "Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra" to declare the unilateral withdrawal from the contract invalid. According to the decision, judge O.V. Mandrychenko, who is supposed to consider the case, announced his withdrawal.
It is reported that the case will be transferred to an authorized employee of the Commercial Court of Kyiv to resolve the issue of automatic re-allocation of the case.
Today, March 29, the UOC MP was ordered to leave the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, people gathered near the building.
The head of the Information and Educational Department of the UOC, Metropolitan Kliment, told reporters that "no document" obliging them to leave the monastery "does not exist."
