All those detained in Tbilisi for administrative violations of the participants of the action have been released, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said.

Earlier, the ruling party "Georgian Dream" and the movement "Power of the People" decided to withdraw from the country's parliament the bill on "foreign agents", which was passed in the first reading.

The authorities satisfied the demand of the demonstrators, who on March 7-8 held thousands of rallies near the parliament building. The police used tear gas and water cannons against the participants of the action, demonstrators threw stones, set garbage cans on fire, and built barricades.

Despite the politicians' statements, today the protesters once again blocked Rustaveli Avenue in the center of Tbilisi.

According to Telegram channels, students from more than 40 universities are walking here.

Meanwhile, traffic on Rustaveli Avenue in Tbilisi is blocked. The legislature already has politicians on the campaign trail. The police have been mobilized in the territory adjacent to the parliament.

The participants of the action are demanding the release of the citizens who were detained on March 7-8, InterpressNews reports.

A stage is set up in front of the parliament building.

Meanwhile, Georgia's largest opposition party, the United National Movement, said it was not the organizer of the protest in Tbilisi scheduled for the evening of March 9. The party also emphasizes that they do not support the idea of a "concert" as part of the campaign, which was previously called for by END member Sofo Japaridze.

The statement of the political movement states that this idea is an initiative of specific individuals and has nothing to do with a party decision, SOVA writes.

"Any performance by any artist will be the personal expression of that particular person and will have nothing to do with the will of our party. The National Movement joins today's protest movement and demands: the immediate signing of the revocation/cancellation of the Russian law, both legally and politically; the release of all detained persons fighting for European integration. We demand Georgia to Europe! Power is in people! The authorities are protesting! We have the power! We will definitely win!" - the statement says.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, during the protest actions held on Rustaveli Avenue on March 7-8, the police detained a total of 133 people.

Meanwhile, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, reacted on Twitter to the situation in Georgia with the law on "foreign agents", called on the country to "never listen to Russia" and expressed his belief that "Georgia will definitely be free and European", UNN reports.

"You can't pass repressive laws "about foreign agents". Or beat citizens who want freedom. Or go to Europe and look towards Russia. You can't slowly kill your president in prison... And most importantly, you can never listen to Russia . Georgia will definitely be free and European!" he wrote.

It should be noted that mass protests in Tbilisi began on March 7 after the parliament passed the law on "foreign agents" in the first reading.

Opposition leaders called on their supporters to go out into the streets, and several thousand people gathered in the square in front of the parliament. During the action, protesters clashed with the police. They used water cannons. On the night of March 9, special forces dispersed the action in the center of the Georgian capital on Rustaveli Avenue and completely occupied the square opposite the parliament.
