The main task in Russia today is to reduce the rate of arms supply to Ukraine, - Podolyak

Russia wants to slow down the supply of weapons to Ukraine in order to build up its own forces and destroy even more population centers.

This was announced by the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mykhailo Podolyak on the air of the national telethon.

"You see, the main task for Russia is to reduce the pace of supply and negotiations. Because they can accumulate a certain resource again, and they, unlike February 2022, now have a different army. It is less professional, it has a lot of old equipment . Equipment from the 50s and 60s. Old Soviet equipment," said Podolyak.

He noted that the aggressor state currently wants to achieve a pause in the supply of weapons to Ukraine from its partners. This will enable the occupiers to advance deeper into Ukrainian lands and destroy more settlements.

"The Russian Federation wants to get a small pause in our supply in order to push us back and go another 10-20-30 km into the territory of Ukraine, and destroy populated areas. And then say that it must be stopped and that it (Russia - ed.) allegedly will not lose. And after that, Russia will ask Europe to force us to negotiate. This is a primitive tactic, but it can work," he emphasized.

As reported, the Institute for the Study of War said that the Russians tried to manipulate the topic of the talks in December 2022 to delay the supply of Western tanks and prepare for another major offensive.
