The President of Austria visited Transcarpathia

The President of Austria, Alexander Van der Bellen, arrived on a working visit to Transcarpathia Oblast.

 

 This was announced by the head of the Transcarpathia Regional Military Administration Viktor Mykyta.

 

 Van der Bellen will visit the medical center of the Red Cross Society of Ukraine, hold a series of meetings, and discuss the prospects of interregional cooperation between Transcarpathia and the federal states of Austria with representatives of the Red Cross.

 

 "Mr. President knows our region well, as well as the level of our cooperation with the Austrian federal states of Burgenland and Tyrol. I thank the people of Austria for supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians in difficult times for all of us," the head of the RSA wrote.

 

 As reported, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen arrived in Ukraine on February 1. He visited Bucha and met with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, as well as handed over generators and announced the allocation of 5 million euros for the restoration of damaged energy infrastructure.

 

 Following the meeting with the President of Austria, Zelenskyi called on Austrian business to abandon cooperation with Russia as an aggressor country and instead start cooperation with Ukraine.
