Kazakhstan canceled visas for foreigners

In Kazakhstan, the possibility of leaving the country for a short period of time was canceled in order to extend the validity of the visa-free regime. Information about this appeared on the official portal of legal acts of the republic, Nova gazeta reports.

Now foreigners who do not need a visa to enter the country, in particular Russians, can stay in Kazakhstan for no more than 90 days during six months. It is not possible to reset the period of stay after leaving the country. The previous version of the resolution did not contain such a restriction.

Violators will be refused entry in case of non-compliance with the law. For a longer stay in Kazakhstan, you will have to issue a temporary residence permit, indicating the purpose of your arrival.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan clarified that foreigners who are already in the country can have time to "renew" their period of stay until January 27, when the new version of the law will come into effect.

According to the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of Kazakhstan, Tamara Duisenova, after the start of mobilization in Russia, more than 400,000 Russians entered the republic, 100,000 of whom remained in the country.
