The Russian occupiers are looking for weak spots in the defense of our soldiers in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions. Also, the enemy continues to build a defense line on the border with Crimea. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the morning, the enemy once again resorted to massive shelling of Ukraine. According to the updated data, the Russians launched 70 cruise missiles and 4 guided air missiles. Our air defense destroyed 60 of them.
"As a result of the strikes, several energy infrastructure facilities and residential buildings were damaged in the Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhya regions," the press service writes.
The situation in the directions:
in the Volyn and Poliske directions, the situation has not changed significantly, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected. Certain units of the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation continue to be in the border areas with Ukraine;
on the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, the enemy carried out mortar and artillery attacks in the areas of Zapsellya and Popivka settlements in the Sumy region and Strilechtia, Starytsia, Ambarne, Olkhovatka, Dvorichna and Chervone in the Kharkiv region;
in the Kupyansk direction, the areas of Sinkivka, Orlyanka, Tabaivka, Berestov and Vyshneve settlements of Kharkiv region and Volodymyrivka and Stelmakhivka - Luhansk region were hit by shelling from tanks, mortars, barrel and jet artillery;
in the Lymansky direction, the enemy fired at the positions of our troops from tanks and various caliber artillery near Makiivka, Maidanchyk, Chervonpopivka, Dibrova, and Hirsky in the Luhansk region;
in the Bakhmut and Avdiiv directions, the enemy continues assaulting our positions, trying to find weak spots in the defense line for a breakthrough. Shelled areas of more than twenty settlements. Among them are Verkhnyokamianske, Spirne, Bilogorivka, Vesele, Soledar, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Dosvidchene, Hodynyk Yar, Druzhba, Zalizne, Maryinka and Pervomaiske of the Donetsk region.
in the Novopavlovsk direction, the neighborhoods of Bogoyavlenka, Nenudny, Prechistivka and Ugledar in the Donetsk region suffered fire damage;
in the Zaporizhzhya and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to fire at our positions and civil infrastructure of settlements along the right bank of the Dnipro River. More than 30 settlements were affected. In particular, Plavni, Gulyaipoli, Dorozhnyanka, Olhivske, Nikopol in the Zaporizhzhya region and Chornobayivka, Antonivka, Kherson, Mykilske, Tokarivka and Milove in the Kherson region.
"The adversary continues to strengthen the defense line on the border of the Kherson region and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. It also strengthens the defense and protection of water supply facilities to the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, in particular the North Crimean Canal," the General Staff writes.
It is emphasized that additional mobilized personnel from the Krasnodar Territory were sent to the defense.
During the day, our missile forces and artillery hit 3 areas of concentration of personnel, a control post and an ammunition depot of the occupiers.
