“From his besieged capital, Kyiv, Volodymyr Zelenskiy rejected US offers to help him run at the start of the war and used late-night speeches on social media to convince Ukrainians that they would win. Zelenskiy, who rose to fame as an actor after playing an accidental president in a popular TV show, used his talents as an artist to speak before parliaments around the world and enlist support for his nation's struggle," Bloomberg wrote about the Ukrainian leader.
