Gazprom threatens to stop supplying gas to Moldova on October 20

The Russian monopolist Gazprom has announced that it may completely stop supplying gas to Moldova if Moldovagaz does not pay the required amount for the supply by October 20. This is stated in the statement of the company in the Telegram channel.

The Russian concern also warned that it could "at any moment" terminate the contract with the Moldovan company "due to a gross violation of the terms" of the agreement on the historical debt of Moldovagaz.

"Gazprom" explained that it will deliver gas to Moldova in October only in the amount of 5.7 million cubic meters. m, accusing Ukrainian Naftogaz of refusing to provide gas transportation services to Gazprom in full.

At the same time, Gazprom stated that it "always understood the requests of the Moldovan side" to postpone payments and audits.

But it "reserves the right" to stop the supply and terminate the contract with the Moldovan company.
