Naval exercises with the participation of 15 NATO countries began in Turkey

The Turkish Navy (TURMARFOR), together with the military of 15 NATO countries, will take part in the alliance's naval exercises in the Mediterranean and Aegean seas. This was reported by the Turkish newspaper Milliyet.

 Military maneuvers called Dynamic Mariner-Mavi Balina-Nusret-2022 began yesterday, September 11. They will continue until September 22.

 About eight thousand people, 52 ships, four submarines, 34 aircraft, 16 helicopters, two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), amphibious marines, SAT/SAS task forces, shore units and the Training Control Center are involved in the exercises. The maneuvers involve the Turkish amphibious assault ship TCG Sancaktar and the flagship of the Turkish Navy TCG Anadolu, which can be configured as a light aircraft carrier.

 From June 20 to 28, 2022, NATO military exercises Ramstein Dust II-2022 (RADU II-22) took place in Turkey.
