Finland will allocate additional military aid to Ukraine

On Thursday, the Finnish authorities decided to allocate a new, already eighth, package of military aid to Ukraine, according to a statement from the Ministry of Defense of Finland.

 "On September 1, 2022, the president of the republic, based on the government's proposal, decided that Finland will send additional military equipment to Ukraine. This is already the eighth delivery of military aid from Finland to Ukraine," the message reads.

 It clarifies that in order to ensure the sure delivery of aid to the addressee, further information about the content, method of delivery and terms of aid provision is not disclosed.

 "Finland's additional aid took into account both the needs of Ukraine and the state of the resources of the Defense Forces," the department emphasizes.

 At the same time, the Finnish Ministry of Defense does not specify the total cost of the new package of additional military aid to Ukraine, however, according to Reuters, it amounts to about 8.3 million euros.
