Zelenskiy reported on the readiness of the Crimean platform

During his evening address, Volodymyr Zelenskiy announced the readiness of the Crimean platform.

"We are already fully ready for the second summit of the Crimean Platform. This year's summit will be even stronger than last year, both in terms of the number of participants and the topics of discussion. We are significantly expanding the format of the Crimean platform - tomorrow we will announce all the details," Zelenskiy said.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba reported that about 60 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in the second online summit of the International Crimean Platform. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the leaders of Germany, Canada and Japan also confirmed their participation in the online summit.

On August 23, 2021, the first summit of the Crimean Platform took place in Kyiv. 46 representatives of foreign states and international organizations took part in it.

As a result, the participants adopted a joint declaration in which Russia was recognized as an occupying power for the first time at the international level.

The second summit of the Crimean Platform, in online format, will be held today, August 23.
