The mayor of Mykolaiv urged residents to leave the city

Russian troops regularly shell Mykolaevschina, in particular, using prohibited cluster munitions. The strikes are carried out from the territory of the occupied Kherson Oblast, so it is impossible to start a siren in advance due to the small distance between the cities. Residents are advised to leave Mykolaiv. This was reported by the mayor of Mykolaiv Alexander Senkevich, writes UNN.

"The situation in general is very bad. We are shelled every day. We have a total of 111 people killed to date. One of them is a child. Also we have 502 people wounded, including 6 children (as of June 21 - ed.). Almost every day we are bombarded with different types of shells. Some 80 per cent of these shells are cluster shells. That is, multiple rocket launchers such as Smerch or Uragan," said the mayor.

The city is also hit by rocket attacks.

"I don't know their markings. I think it's X-55 or X-555. These are cruise missiles that fly around the city here and destroy our infrastructure. They were used when they were shooting at military installations. They also hit the regional state administration with these missiles," Senkevich added.

Because of the constant danger, the mayor of Mykolaiv advises to leave the city.

"I recommend everyone to leave the city. Everyone who wants to stay alive, because it is unknown when all this will end. To date, according to our calculations, of the 480 thousand residents of Mykolaiv were before the war, there are about 230 thousand left in the city," he said.
