Yuri Shatunov Died

Yuri Shatunov died. The famous singer and former lead singer of the popular Soviet-era group Laskovy Mai suddenly left this world on June 23.

Arkady Kudryashov, his concert director, told Lenta.ru about his death.

"Tonight in the ambulance, Yury's heart stopped," he said.

According to Kudryashov, the artist had a massive heart attack.

Shatunov was 48 years old.

Yuri Shatunov was born in 1973 in Kumertau.

The actor spent his teenage years in an orphanage - his parents were divorced, his mother died when the future star was 11 years old.

At the orphanage, he met Sergei Kuznetsov, who was the leader of the amateur art group - that's when the history of the group Laskovy May began.

The artist became a star at an early age, until his last days he was engaged in music.

It is interesting that only a few days ago the court allowed Shatunov to perform the hits of Laskovy May at his concerts. Until that day, the director of the group Andrei Razin did not allow Shatunov to sing "White Roses", "Pink Evening" and other hits.

Perhaps the decades-long legal red tape undermined Shatunov's health.

Yuri was left with his wife Svetlana, as well as their 16-year-old son Dennis and 9-year-old daughter Estella.
