322 children have died as a result of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General reports.
"As of the morning of June 17, 2022, more than 900 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression by the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 322 children were killed and more than 581 injured," the report said.
The most affected children, as indicated, were in the Donetsk region - 301, Kharkiv region - 170, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Lugansk region - 54, Kherson region - 52, Mykolaiv region - 48, Zaporozhzhia region - 30, Sumy region - 17.
These figures are not final, as work is underway to identify them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Thus, during the recording of criminal offenses, it became known about the deaths of two more girls aged 12 and a boy and a girl aged 5 as a result of shelling by Russian troops of the city of Mariupol, Donetsk region, from March to May.
Also due to the bombing and shelling by the Russian Armed Forces, it is noted that 2,028 educational institutions were damaged. Of these, 209 were completely destroyed.
