Georgian President Insists on Inviting Zelensky to Parliament

"We are probably one of the few remaining countries in Europe where Zelensky was not allowed to speak before parliament. Does it take anything but total, moral solidarity to do that! We should have invited Zelensky to the Georgian Parliament!" said Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili in an interview with PalitraNews.

According to her, no one is asking Georgia to show solidarity with Ukraine, which is beyond her power.

"The country, the population, and society as a whole, have declared full solidarity with Ukraine and this is the main thing. We cannot but be in solidarity with this country, which for a long time has been in the same conditions as we once were. In these difficult hundred days, Ukraine has shown a great example of struggle, consistency and endurance. The Georgians fully appreciate this. The country has been supportive in many ways. We make different statements, but we have joined in imposing harsh sanctions against Russia. No one is asking us to do anything that is not in our power, but we consider it our duty.
