The statement about slowing down offensive actions in Ukraine is completely inadequate. Russia came up with nothing better to explain the failure on the front.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this in a video address.
"Today in Russia sounded another absolutely inadequate statement. Allegedly on purpose to slow down the offensive. After three months of explaining why they failed to break Ukraine in three days, they came up with nothing better than to claim as if they had planned it that way," Zelensky said.
He recalled that Russia had lost tens of thousands of soldiers in three months.
"Almost 30,000 Russian soldiers killed, more than 200 planes shot down... almost completely spent stockpile of missiles. And that's what they want to say, as if they're not fighting at full strength. The time will come when they will admit it themselves," the president said.
As a reminder, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu earlier commented on the slowdown of the military offensive in Ukraine. According to him, the armed forces are doing this "deliberately," allegedly so that the residents could exit through "humanitarian corridors."
Meanwhile, British intelligence noted that Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu's stated intention to introduce "new methods of warfare" was a tacit admission that Russia's progress was not going as anticipated.
