A shooting at a Texas elementary school killed 18 children. Three more adults were victims.

The number of victims of the tragedy was clarified by the Texas Rangers involved in the investigation of the incident, said Texas State Senator Roland Gutierrez.

Gutierrez also said Salvador Ramos, the suspect in the school attack, bought automatic rifles when he turned 18.

As a reminder, the shooting occurred at an elementary school in Yuvalde County, Texas. According to regional governor Greg Abbott, the shooting was opened by an 18-year-old high school student, Salvador Ramos, who had previously killed his grandmother. Among those injured in the attack are two police officers who arrived on the scene.

U.S. President Joe Biden has ordered flags to be lowered over the White House and all government buildings, including those overseas, by May 28 in memory of the victims of the shooting.

In October 2021, a Texas school shooting injured four people, three of whom were hospitalized.

There was also a school shooting in May 2018. A 17-year-old student opened fire. Ten people were killed then.
