Today, May 23, in Desna, Chernihiv region, they finished dismantling the wreckage after a missile strike by the Russian occupants. The bodies of 87 victims were found at the site of the tragedy.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told about it during his speech at the forum in Davos.

"Today we finished the work in Desna. Unfortunately, 87 victims were found under the rubble. 87 corpses, murdered lives," the president said.

He was asked a couple of questions. The president voiced information about Desna, answering the question how he sees the future of Ukraine.

Zelensky noted that as president of a country at war he thinks about the present day of Ukraine and how many people die every day.

As a reminder, on the morning of May 17, Russia launched a missile attack on the village of Desna in the Chernihiv region.

It later became known that the number of casualties rose to 11 and 14 more people were wounded.
