Russian deputies have introduced a bill in the State Duma expanding the powers of the president. It would allow Putin to create temporary administrations outside of Russia.

This was reported by the Meduza newspaper.

The bill on temporary civil administrations in the seized territories of Ukraine was introduced by deputies of the "Just Russia - For Truth" led by Sergei Mirnov.

"We give authority to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Federation, the President of Russia in case of need to create such civil administrations, in fact temporary bodies of executive power to solve all necessary tasks," Mirnov said.

It is worth noting that the Kremlin previously stated that it was allegedly not pursuing the goal of occupying Ukrainian territories.
