A complicated and provocative situation persists on the Transnistrian segment of the border with Moldova. Border guards also take into account a possible threat from Belarus. This was said by the director of the Department of State Border Protection of the State Border Guard Service of the Ukrainian State Border Guard Service Leonid Baran during a briefing.
The UASBGS notes that the situation on the border with Belarus and Transnistria remains provocative.
"The situation on the border with Belarus remains under control. The GSSU takes into account the possible threat from this state and takes all necessary measures. Also the situation on the Transnistrian segment of the border with Moldova remains complicated and provocative. The border guards, taking into account the possible risks, also take all necessary measures. Now all the checkpoints in this segment are closed," said Baran.
In recent days, the number of shelling of Ukrainian border guard positions from the territory of Russia has been growing.
