Standing by Ukraine, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Victory Day, addressing Russia. He called on Kremlin head Vladimir Putin to stop the war in Ukraine.
Stoltenberg said this in an interview for Die Welt.
"I once again call on President Putin on May 9 to immediately stop the war, withdraw his troops from Ukraine and begin peace talks," the secretary general appealed to the Russian leader.
At the same time, Stoltenberg noted that the Alliance "stands with Ukraine and will help the country to defend its right to self-defense."
At the same time, the secretary-general stressed that in the past Moscow regularly used May 9 to "spread untruths about the West and criticize NATO.
