German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will arrive in Kyiv on May 10.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on May 5 that Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock will arrive in Kyiv on a visit in the near future.

 

Earlier, the speaker of the Bundestag, Berbel Bas, also announced a trip to Ukraine on Sunday. As head of parliament, she will be the highest German representative in Kyiv since the beginning of the war.

 

Olaf Scholz admitted that he did not want to go to Kyiv until President Frank-Walter Steinmeier was there, and hinted that he expected Ukraine to take steps to resolve the situation.
