Volodymyr Zelensky spoke about his vision of effective partner aid to help win and rebuild Ukraine during an international donor conference for Ukraine, reports "European Pravda.
"How this brutal war will end, which will be decided not only on the battlefield - it also depends on economic, financial, humanitarian support and the ability to ensure normal life in the liberated territories and rebuild what was destroyed by the Russian army. Freedom must demonstrate that it protects and gives more than tyranny, which for decades has received money for selling oil, gas and other resources," the president noted.
First, during the war Ukraine needs financial aid to cover all social, humanitarian and military needs.
Second, the President noted, Ukraine needs a strategic plan for international support for Ukraine - a modern equivalent of the "Marshall Plan."
"This is the money, technology, expertise and growth opportunities needed to return to peaceful life, modernization and social development. It will be an investment in the stability of all of Central and Eastern Europe... Ukraine's recovery should be as historic an example from our time as the recovery of European countries after World War II," Volodymyr Zelensky said.
The President of Ukraine said that sufficient and timely assistance would help Ukrainians who had left the country during the war to return home.
Volodymyr Zelensky recalled his idea about the "patronage" of certain countries over Ukrainian regions and cities that suffered from the war in the process of their reconstruction.
