217 children were killed in Ukraine due to Russian armed aggression

More than 610 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official data as of the morning of April 27, the number of child victims remained unchanged at 217. The number of injured rose to more than 393.


These numbers are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.


Children suffered the most in the Donetsk region - 129, Kyiv region - 114, Kharkiv region - 93, Chernihiv region - 66, Kherson region - 44, Mykolaiv region - 43, Luhansk region - 37, Zaporizhzhya region - 27, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv city - 16, Zhitomir region - 15.


It became known that on March 20, a 9-year-old child was wounded as a result of shelling by the aggressor country's troops in Mariupol, Donetsk region, and an 8-year-old child was wounded on March 23. The occupants took the children to the Russian Federation. They have now been returned to Ukraine and are being treated at the Okhmatdet NDSL in Kyiv.


1,508 educational institutions were damaged as a result of daily bombing and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the armed forces of the Russian Federation. At the same time, 102 of them were completely destroyed.
