205 children were killed and another 367 wounded because of Russian armed aggression in Ukraine, the Office of the Prosecutor General said.
"More than 572 children were injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. Over the past 24 hours, the official number of dead children has not changed - 205. The number of wounded has increased - 367," the prosecutor's office reported.
According to juvenile prosecutors, the most injured children were in the Donetsk region - 118, Kyiv region - 108, Kharkiv region - 91, Chernihiv region - 54, Kherson region - 43, Mykolaiv region - 40, Luhansk region - 36, Zaporizhia region - 25, the capital - 16, Sumy region - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.
These figures are not final, as work continues to install them in places of active combat operations in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Thus, according to the department, it became known that on March 14, a civilian car in which a family was trying to evacuate to safety was blown up on an unidentified explosive device in a forest belt near the village of Zakharovka in the Kyiv region. An 8-year-old child was wounded and his mother was killed.
On April 18, a 16-year-old girl was wounded as a result of artillery shelling of the village of Shandrigolovo in Donetsk region.
Also on April 18, a 14-year-old girl was wounded due to shelling of the village of Preobrazhenka in Zaporizhzhia region.
On April 18, there was also a missile strike on the territory of Lviv, as a result of which a 3-year-old child was wounded.
Because of the bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces, 1,141 educational institutions were damaged, of which 99 were completely destroyed, the Office of the Prosecutor General reported.
