Emergency evacuation of vehicles from Kramatorsk begins on Friday - the mayor

An emergency evacuation of residents of the Donetsk region by motor vehicles to safe locations begins from Kramatorsk on Friday, Mayor Oleksandr Goncharenko said.

"Today we start emergency evacuation of people by all municipal vehicles, all private vehicles, we are looking for drivers. About 30 to 40 drivers will be needed as of today," Goncharenko said at an online briefing Friday.

He noted that after the missile strike on the Kramatorsk train station, evacuations will be switched to another mode.

"Now we are switching to a different evacuation mode. We will evacuate from Kramatorsk everyone who wants to and who will reach our city. We will transport them to safer places," the mayor said.
