All facts of Russian military atrocities in Bucha and other Ukrainian cities must be established, and all those responsible must be brought to justice, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
"We have all seen the horrifying images of murdered civilians in Bucha and other cities that were under the control of the Russian military... This is unbearable brutality that Europe has not seen in many decades. Targeting and killing civilians is a war crime. All the facts must be established and all those responsible for these atrocities must be brought to justice," Stoltenberg said at a press conference ahead of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels on Tuesday.
The secretary general stressed that such brutality, the scale of war, has not been seen in Europe since World War II.
"It is extremely serious, horrifying and brings suffering to the Ukrainian people, but it is also dangerous for all of us. We see the nature of President Putin's war, his lack of respect for the rule of law, international rules and basic human rights, including the right to life of all those who have been killed in this conflict," Stoltenberg pointed out.
